Daycare notes, dinner parties and… Twins?

Hope everyone’s had a bitchin’ week so far…

Things have been a little hecktic here at the center, and at home as well. Leah and I have been busy running around to the point where we’ve had very little time together to sit and talk about stuff. I can only imagine how it will be when the next kid gets tossed into the shuffle. It’s been busy, but things are on the up and up. Ethan is doing well at home and especally at Daycare. The little guy is a social butterfly and loves to play with the other kids. Not exactly something we thought he would get into since he’s used to being the center of the universe at home. But he is doing well with the other kids, and seems to have a lot of fun. But he’s happy to be home as well so that he can use his own toys, watch his own videos (Paddington Bear, Wiggles, etc) and hang out with the cat and his parents. Because of how well he’s been doing at daycare, I think he’ll all right when the new baby comes along. I think he’ll do just fine… but the cat will be another matter all together.

Leah and I have also been tossing around the possibility that we might have to move to either a new appartment or a house with the new edition on the way. This is something we’ve been talking about for a while, but this week the conversation was serious as we are running out of space and might need to get another bedroom if the next baby is a girl. We need to prepare for the fact that our tiny apparment might have been good for one kid, but might be a tad too crowded for two. We’re gonna have to sit down and have a good look at our options and try to figure out what option might be the best for us and our growing family.

Leah has made the decision to leave her work at the end of her next maternity leave. Good riddence I say, that hell hole of a daycare has been nothing short of a pain in the side for us since day # 1. They’ve done whatever they can to either bleed us or the government out of every penny they can, and those money grubbing whores can kiss my fucking ass when its all said and done. For the money we chuck into that pitt, you’d think they’d be a little nice but they’ve been inconsiderate even in the face of the face that my wife is pregnant again. Talk about a lack of class or tact, these losers really take the cake. I will be very happy when that chapter in our lives has passed. Just thinking about those bastards makes my blood boil over.

So getting to better topics, Leah and I are very excited about the upcoming ultrasound. It’s about three weeks away and I can’t wait to get to it myself. We have a bit of a situation on our hands here concerning the little bundle of Joy. According to our doctor she saw a few weeks ago, her uterus is a little big for someone as far along as her. This could mean one of three things. There’s a chance the doctor seriously messed up the due date and it’s going to be a November baby. Option b is that this kid is gonna be the next Shaq, which would be good cause Team Canada could use a good center for the 2032 Olympics. Or the option that scares us the most and keeps up at night: Twins. I personally would think twins would be cool but of course when they’re both crying at night, the idea wouldn’t be so cool. Regardless of what it is, Leah and I will do our best to take things as they come. But that makes August 1st a really big day. We’ll get the answer to why the belly is a little bigger than its supposed to be. We’ll either get a new due date, or a very big surprise. Either way, I’m confident things will turn out all right. Just incase though, I booked August 1st for a vacation day so that I can have the time off digest whatever might happen that day.

But first thing’s first, I have a dinner party going on tomorrow night. I have two friends coming over for supper this Thursday, as Aaron and Prya are coming over to hang out and eat. I like inviting thme over because its nice to have another married couple come over and mingle with us every now and then. I have the day off so since Leah is working late that day, I’m going to spend the whole day cleaning the house and making supper for the party. That way all Leah has to do come home, relax and just enjoy herself. I’m the one who wants to have this dinner, so I’m more than happy to use my day off to do all the work. Should be a lot of fun. I’m feel a little more confident about my cooking abilities after last week’s Beef Stew. This week, I’m going to try Chicken Anchiladas. Should be interesting. I’ll post more about it later this week when I actually try to cook it.

So that’s it for now from the island, I have the weekend off so if I post very little this week… I’ll try to make up for it during the weekend cause there is a good chance Leah and Ethan are going to visit her mom for the weekend. Until then everyone take care and I’ll be around…

You should find a way to sabatoge the day care. Or at least find a way to totally embarass them publicly so they lose business, without anybody knowing it was you that caused said embarassment.

I disagree with the above note. If you cannot be up front I would not do anything. When one is sneaky it usually backfires. Besides, if they are as bad as you say, they’ll ge what’s coming to them eventually.
