Nanowrimo: first weekend of words…

It’s been a fun weekend. I wanted to have 10,000 words done this weekend. I’m going to have a little time before I go to bed to night to spit out a few words so I might have a chance but even if I don’t get that much done it’s still a good start for the first few days. The novel I’m working on is off to a great start, and my main characters are pretty much established and ready to go. So I’m in a good position to have a good week and to me that’s not bad.

So I’m very happy with where I am right, which is really good considering the distractions I’ve had and got coming in the next day or two. I met with the local Hamilton writers again this afternoon and it was very inspirational to see them all again. The meet a few times a week and while I will make an effort to see them on the weekends, chances are I am not going to see them all the time.

So that’s it for now. I’m going to run back and try to write a few more thousand words before bedtime. I hope everyone had a good weekend…
