The headlines say it all…

It’s the day after the election, and everyone is waking up to a new world. My children woke up to a new world today. I turned on the television and an African-American was Predisent of the United States… and I wasn’t watching 24, but the network news. No nation in Europe has managed to jump that hurdle, so hats off to America for proving everyone wrong again and showing the world that they are capable of living up to their potential. Last night’s election was amazing to witness, it truly was historic. The better candidate won this race, and it was really a no brainer. This was a year when the VP selection made a massive difference as well… as it was one of many factors that had people going blue!

I really feel for Ashleigh and Notliberal… well, actually I don’t. Ashleigh as so sure McCain was going to win. Her sources (her sock puppets and the voices in her head) were telling her that McCain was going to pull Pennsylvania out of his arse and take this thing, but that was just as delusional as thinking that George Lucas was capable of making a coherant film in the 21st Century. Notliberal is trying to say that he’s happy McCain didn’t win cause John wasn’t a real Republican anyway. Sure, Steve. I’m sure you’re just elated that the Democrats have control of all three branches of goverment. I’m sure next week the detractors will be screaming why hasn’t Obama fixed the Economy yet… and at that point we’ll have to explain to these dumbasses that the next President doesn’t swear in until late January.

Back in reality, my friends are either still celebrating or recovering from last night’s celebration so I haven’t had a chance to talk to them since I crashed for the night. I went to bed at 1:30 last night after watching as much coverage as I could. Kids were good to me and didn’t want up until 5:30 so I managed to get a good bit of shut eye. I got some cool pictures for ya to check out… the fruits of sweet victory. Enjoy it my friends, you guys are in for one hell of a ride.

I was glad to be here to see it happen. I’m gonna run out and buy loads of newspapers as souvenirs.

It is really the fall of the racial barrier when most of the europian countries don’t do that. But, the incidents on silent attacks on the asians and other racians has toa be eliminated in US. As much as 8 Indians killed for no reason arrived at yet in US. Anyhow, a BIG hand to Obama for creating history on the platform laid by Abraham Lincoln, Malcolm X etc..

Your view of my position on these many issues can be forgiven in that you are not a long-time reader of my BLOG, as it were. I have lain down these harsh expectations in past, with little response. You are clearly offended by my view of the implied “promises” of our new President. Whether it be today or tommorow or in January or sometime in 2011, let him do that magic that he promises so well.

Rumor has it that NL was also hoping for Prop 8 to fail in California and the requirement for marriage in adoption in (Arkansas? is that right) would be defeated. NL = crafty that way

It would be nice if The Supreme Court could overturn it, but I don’t think it will happen. People are still too closed-minded and closed-hearted. Just goes to show (i’m pro-choice), it’s okay to kill something, but not okay for homosexuals to appear as an official, legal couple in public. I hope we get there eventually, hopefully in my life-time.
