There’s no such thing as too much OT…

I’m back at the call center on my day off. Like I told one of the Video Team Leaders when I signed up for today, I never met an OT that I didn’t like. So here I am today, I have some early go home time and a day off to make up for, and then tomorrow when I do more time, that will be extra and I’m still getting holiday pay next week for Good Friday. All this will spell another nice fat cheque for yours truely. It’s not that I need the money, but I have the time and it wouldn’t hurt to have a little extra cash to get a few knick knacks and stuff. I had to take a day off this week cause I wasn’t feeling to well, so that will be made back up today and then with a few extra hours. I don’t mind working OT as long as I have the right tools and a good spot to do my work from. I also have a huge lunch packed that I’m going to split up over the 11 hour period. Should be an interesting day.

I have a lot of reasons to work today, and some more things that I’m dying to buy as well. Leah might get a little miffed that I’m spending the money, but if I’m willing to work the extra time to earn the money to buy what I want, then there shouldn’t be a problem. All the bills are paid off, rent is covered and I’m got a crapload of food in the fridge, so I had the means to get my Playstation 2 this week and I did… and while I haven’t had too much time to play around with it yet, I’ll have plenty soon enough. All work and now play makes a very dull boy out of Peter, so I needed some new toys, and I think these will do the trick:

Here it is, the new Playstation 2. As you can see, it’s in fantastic shape and has been barely used. I got a real steal with this purchase. I have it right now beside my TV so that the cords for the controllers can stretch to the couches, but when Ethan comes back home I’ll have to change that around. What I am thinking of doing is placing it on the shelf on the entertainment center when the DVR and DVD player currently are right now. With it too high for Ethan to reach, I’m going to purchase a wireless controller so I can play games without having to worry about the kids trashing the system.

This is the one game that I was dying to get. I love wrestling games and have heard nothing but rave reviews for this one. It’s as good as everyone says it is, but just get tough to advance in. I’ll have to keep working on it, but that’s a good thing… I didn’t want an easy game that I could complete in a week.

This game isn’t easy to play either, as I usually suck when it comes to shooting games… but I couldn’t resist. Just the fact that Sean Connery does the voice for Bond in this game makes is super cool. Great graphics and loyal to the retro setting of the original movie, it’s one that I think will keep me busy for a while.

I had to get a few sports games, cause those are my all time favs. A good baseball and boxing game will do just fine… for now.

This game isn’t mine, it’s a loaner from my friend Ryan. This great game is only a loaner cause I plan to get the new 3rd installment when I get my next cheque in two weeks. Hence my inspriation to work a little OT.

So that’s the stuff I’ll use to eat up a lot of my free time. That will most likely keep me out of trouble and at home to be there to answer the phone whenever Leah wants to tall and chat. You see… everyone wins! I know I’m not fooling anyone, but it was worth a go.

It’s really slow here at the center, so you could see a lot more entries today. I’m in a real good mood to write as well so I’m going to post a boatload of notes too. Until then, I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!

RYN: I loved Memoirs of a Geisha, fantastic book. I haven’t seen the film and I don’t actually know whether I want to, given that books almost always seem to be better than the films that are made of them…

RYN No, its an April fool joke. Check the first line.
