Twelve, Twelve, Twelve

Today is the last time our calendar has three identical numbers in the date for the remainder of this century. I didn’t do anything special today. I’m still dog sitting but I’m working on revisions tonight while watching the 12/12/12 Charity Concert for Sandy Relief. Roger Waters was out there doing Pink Floyd songs and not Bon Jovi is performing. It’s been a good show so far and I’m curious to see what songs Paul McCartney is going to do tonight for the ‘Nirvana’ reunion. Should be interesting…

For most of us, if not all of us today is the last time we’ll see a date like the one we have today. I will be very surprised if I live to see another day like that in the next century. I would have to live to the ripe old age of 125 in order for that to happen. I understand how unrealistic that is, so I took a moment to appreciate this day and the fact that I’ll likely never anything like it again.

Hopefully everyone else enjoyed their 12/12/12 day and are looking forward to the upcoming holiday season. It’s hard to believe that 2012 is already finished. It all flew by so quickly and 2013 is just around the corner. Before the month is over, I’m going to post my annual end of the year movie survey as well as a recap of how this year went. I also considering do a year in review Monday School entry on New Year’s Eve which would reveiw the year for Atheists.

So I’ve got some plans for the diary to run out the rest of the month. I hope everyone enjoys 12/12/12 and I’ll e back tomorrow with a real entry. Until then, take care everyone!

Peter

It is only a number. Other calendars are much further along, such as the jewish one, the Indian one, etc.
