As a mom we all have to make decisions on what to tell our children and how to handle these traumatic situations.
You chose wisely. In shielding your son from the news. In choosing to refuse to allow fear to rule your life. I admire you.

I told my kids, but only very briefly and figured I’d go into it if they asked. They didn’t really. My 8 year old asked one question and went on. I pray for them every night, but they aren’t afraid, I haven’t done it in a way that would make them think it would happen at their school, I don’t know if I mentioned the school even actually.
