God’s Blessing
Ok So as the Holidays are FASTLY approuching…Did I mention FASTLY…Way to FAST.I want to share a little bit of a touching story that happend to me as we often forget to slow down enough to enjoy the little moments in life. I am VERY broke and not really fully enjoying this holiday season. I am a giver and i love to brighten others lifes. I am the one who normally packs up a car load full of food and toys and brings them to a family or families in need im the kind of person who looks for others who are less in need and help them out. This year after SWALLOWING my pride and might i say i still feel a HUGE lump in my throat I have went down and registered to get help from toys for tots took up the offer of my family being adopted by a local church for christmas. And Have not even got a dollar to my name to put in the offering plate or to get my kids some stocking stuffers to go with the gift the church donated. I am thankful that talking to my kids and explaing to them that this christmas may not be what they are used to and reminding them why we really celebrate christmas and what the season is really about made me feel a little better seeing the way they understood. Not to mention seeing the my genorosity has been passed down. My caring for others before myself has been passed on to my kids. Every year we choose a project to do for someone less furtunate. Last year my family looked into an area hospital and learned of a little boy who was badly injured in a car accident and would be spending christmas in the hospital. My family went to the hospital and delivered a bunch of christmas gifts for the little boy and his family along with a meal for the faily. My 3 wonderful kids after me telling them they were not going to have a lot of presents went to thier rooms and I thought they were ticked off at me when in reality they were in scrapping together thier allowance in order to come up with some money to go buy others in need gift. They then came out and asked me if they could each take one present that they would have been given this christmas and give it to a little kid in the hospital. They also handed me the money and asked me to buy stuff to make cookies to bring to the hospital. Talk about touching. Made me wanna cry….OK so some tears fell…..and yes we are doing this even if it takes my last penny. This truly proves we are examples to our children. I hope you all have a tradition that your kids are learning and wanting to continue. May God Bless All Of You This Wonderful Holiday Season.
Awww, you have really sweet kids! You’re teaching your children well and I hope when I have kids one day (God willing) they will have a huge heart like yours. Merry Christmas.
