I love my body.
And not because I am a size four.
I believe every woman should be proud of who they are.
I have this question for dieting women. Why are you dieting? Is it for yourself? Or because you think you should..
See I fully believe that alot of people diet because they think they must..Not because it is what they want to do.
I think society as a whole has put beauty in a place it needs to not be. WHere starving yourself, Cutting yourself, Having surgery and other things done are overturning what is really important.
Will laying down a large sum of money to have your thieghs trimmed really help you to feel better about yourself or will a couple monthes will you be back to have another thing done?
Is there really something wrong with you or do you just imagine it so?
I on the other hand recently tried my hand at dieting. It just bothered me more then anything else.. It seemed like I gained wieght on there plan. I lose more wieght when I am happy and not obsessed about it.
So maybe my nondieting works wonders..
Here is my non diet for all of those that want to know.
1. I do not own a scale. I have absolutely no idea how much I weigh. I know I can wear a size nine in jeans..and a size 7-9 in shirts..But other then that..No idea.
2. I work jobs with a large sum of manual labor. There fore I am always busy and I always have something to do.
3. I do yoga with my mom. It makes me happy and it is a bonding experience,
4. I jiggle, dance and jump on the trampoline with my kid and baby niece every afternoon on my days off.
5. Weekends usually involve swimming,Dancing at the local bar or rollar blading with my sis and the cousins.
6. I eat a vegan diet. (because of food intolerances) I do not pass up dessert. And I love chocolate.
Why diet? Happy lives are lead naturally…
SO the next time you want to lose some wieght I say..Just remember to check your portions, eat more vegies then protiens..and have fun doing active things…Oh and smile.
: )
It works..I promise.

I agree 100%. Get more activity, eat reasonable portions of food that agrees with you, enjoy life, stop attributing too many of your problems to small body issues. I dare say, most, or at least many girls/women would do well to follow your advice. But they hear 1000 voices telling them, or implying, something very different. I just read a study that showed that women think their partners are more dissatisfied with their (the women’s) bodies than they really are. I hope your attitude catches on, but I’m not optimistic about it. Davo

I diet because I am not happy with who I have let myself become. I diet becuase with the knee injury and back surgery carrying all this weight is painful and less than ideal. I hate that people who are super tiny go on about being “fat” and needing to “diet”, becuase they have no idea what it’s like. I’m glad that your non-diet plan works for you.

Thank you for confirming for me that there are women out there who aren’t some raging ball of self doubt. It’s nice to see someone feeling comfortable with themselves. Chocolate has many nutritious benefits, by the way. I consume it often.
