CELTIC WOMAN

My sister and I went into the city on Saturday to see the Celtic Woman at Radio City Music Hall. They were AWESOME to say the least.

There are 4 woman with the most beautiful voices, each in ther own right is spectacular, put the together and you have a wee bit of heaven on earth. One of the 4, Chloe, is still in her teens. It’s mind boggling how their voices can lift you up and take you away with them.

There is also a fiddler by the name of Mairead, who has to be on some kind of sugar rush. As you fiddled, she was boucing all over the  place dancing and playing up to the audience. In her own right, she is a wonderful entertainer. She is a very tiny figure in person but her onstage appearance makes her seem larger than life. She breathes life int o all that she plays and takes you along on a journey of a lifetime.

Chloe, at 16 is truly amazing. When you hear her hit the high notes, you can almost hear the angels sing. Her voice as she gets older can only improve and I can’t wait till then. When she sings Ave Maria in Gaelic, it could bring you to tears. The song Someday is another one that will move you.

Lisa, when she sings Send me a Song, send shivers down my arms. You feel the longing and pain that the song is about. She also sings The Soft Goodbye, with Chloe and Maev that will tear you up for sure.

Orla and Maev round out the group and bring a freshness and joy to all that they sing. They carry you away with them to that magical place inside us all and allows us to g=forget the probelms of the day and just enjoy being in the presence of such talent. When they all sing You Raise Me Up, you truly feel like you ARE being raised up, higher and  higher. They touch the lives of all who hear their music. Orla make beautiful music not only with her voice but with the harp as well.

I absolutely love them. We saw them on our PBS channel like two years ago & bought the CD and DVD. They are great. I so envy you getting to see the live show!
