Nim’s Island

A movie about a girl (Nim) living alone on an island with a her father. She admires the hero of certain series of books. Her father disappears and she doesn’t know what to do. Via the Internet she comes into contact with the hero from the books and she asks him to come to her rescue. The hero of the book is not real of course. It is the author who responds. She (Jody Foster), isn’t really a hero. She even is afraid to leave the house! The girl is in trouble and the author has to overcome her fears.

A nice adventure story. A beautiful island. Aimed at a younger audience, but also for adults enjoyable.
