  • I have started keeping a hand-written list of positives in my day in a notebook by the bed. It is a Good Thing to do every night before I fall asleep.
  • I pre-ordered the DVDs of "The Game of Thrones" from Amazon and a couple of days ago, they arrived. I remember ordering the Blue-ray by mistake and going back to change it but apparently, I forgot to cancel the Blue-ray order so that arrived too! Fortunately, returning things to Amazon is very easy so I will stop off at the post office on the way to see Fred today and put them in the mail. I will have to pay the postage since it is my mistake and not Amazon’s but it won’t be much and I look on it as a small penalty for not paying attention to what I was doing.
  • I have watched four episodes of "The Game of Thrones" so far and mostly, I am very impressed. Since I have read all the books that are available for the Kindle, I had my own mental pictures of the characters and, on the whole, the actors met my mental pictures beautifully, especially Araya! The two who didn’t are the actors playing Jon Snow and Rob Stark. I definitely didn’t imagine them as puffy-faced pouting-mouthed young men but there they are! It is an interesting experience watching these while knowing what is going to happen later on.
  • Time to give Fred a call to see if there is anything he needs me to bring from home. In a couple of weeks or less, he will be coming home. The getting-the-ducks-in-a-row meeting is scheduled next Tuesday. Lots of paperwork to be done…

might just have to order the dvd’s of a game of thrones. i’m reading the fifth book in the series of the song of ice and fire on my nook. are there any more books in this series? i’m sure both you and fred will be glad when he’s home. i like your list of positive things at night in a book to reread when you’re down. take care,

I have began a gratitude journal, but I purchased an app for my phone, but at least then I can look back any time I am not feeling so great and bring my focus back to the positives in life.

Making a list of positives every day is a good thing to do. One thing I learned to do, from you, way back when we first began reading each other, is to make a list of all the things I have done in a day. That’s sortuv like a list of positives, and always helps me to see that I really did do SOMETHING! ;o) !! hugs, Nicky

Movie characters hardly ever jibe with what’s in my head. I’m not exactly sure what’s IN my head, most of the time, but it never matches the movie.

Keeping a daily list of positives is a good idea! I will start doing this too. It’s too easy to dwell upon negatives.
