Breathless

Came down with a head cold on Saturday night. Hit my chest by Sunday. Monday night could not great my breathe. Sat up all night to just gasp any air I could get. Anytime I tried to lay down, could not breath at all. Blood pressure way up from fear.

Tuesday, I went to see the doctor and was diagnosed with asthmatic bronchitis. Was told I should have gone to emergency and, in the future, must go immediately.

Now on nebulizer, steroids, two inhalers, etc. feeling better but still very under the weather.

Have not had any asthma related problems in at least twenty five years.

Hope this is a one time problem and not the beginning of something worse.

Gosh, take care of that, it could have turned into pneumonia so quickly. With all the bugs going around this year (flu, that cold thing, whooping cough) we just can’t take any chances. I know I have been washing my hands so much (also using paper towels to open door handles, etc.) my hands are really getting dry and flaky. Hope you feel better soon.

Wow! You’re lucky you got to a doc. I hope those meds will work for you. Take care.

Oh, dear! Welcome to the illness club. *Cue sarcasm, as this is a club everyone wants OUT of!* Asthma holds particular terrors for me, as my son had it chronically. Did you have it as a child? I’m just now getting over this flu, and yet I even got a flu shot! At least my lungs weren’t affected, so I guess the shot helped a little… Anyway, hope your asthma was only a one-time event, and that youare restored to good health very soon!

I agree with your doc… go to ER a.s.a.p. … not worth letting chance take a course… Take care. G~
