songwriting
I’ve been trying to finish writing a song today and it is not going well. So, I find listening to music puts me in the right frame of mind to finish it. Finally, I accidentally heard a song in my Facebook feed which reminded me of this song, 3 Doors Down “Here Without You” and that is somehow settling my mind. I think.
I sent the lyrics I had to Kevin and asked him if he could help. He wasn’t really much help. He’s happy with his boyfriend in his new home, new city, new job, and new life. So, he’s too happy to write a love song lol.
So, I’m on my own to finish my song. I’ll have to probably listen to 3 Doors Down for an hour or so lol. If I don’t get inspired to finish my song, I’ll set it aside for the rest of today and then just focus on my novel or something. The day already got sidetracked by the “situation” (in my last post), but it is what it is.
As dumb as this might sound, I sometimes will dabble in poetry, though I have zero faith in my ability to ever write a song. I can’t explain it.
@peripheral_visionary No part of that sounds dumb. At the rate my work situation is going downhill, my song is probably going to be about job quitting lol.
