November 2025

Dear Diary,

It’s been a pretty quiet month for me for the most part.  I’m off the road for a while after being in a car accident about 3 weeks ago when I hit a car whilst turning from Creek Road onto Lytton Road on my way to the Stepping Stone Clubhouse.

I was sharing the car with my mother and it had to be written off, fortunately there were no injuries sustained to either myself or the driver of the other vehicle.

The Busymen did one of their best gigs in a long time as one of the support acts for The Fadeaways at the PFR Lounge.  They got over 50 people watching their set, even though they were on first.  Boston Bob was absolutely elated, and Michael Bolger also did a good job rejoining the band on bass for the night as the regular bass player Jack Mulroney was away in Melbourne performing with Richard Hunt’s new musical venture Evil Dick Industries.

Their website is also coming along nicely, which I have designed with Bandzoogle.  You can check it out here at The Busymen’s Website

Also want to congratulate my Dad on his 87th birthday and my niece Sasha for turning 13 years old.  It’s going to be a challenging time for her, since she’s going to be in high school next year and juggling her school work with her performance work.

Not much else to report on since I’ve cut back on going to gigs, although I enjoyed going to see HISS and Zagtar at Lou Lou Room in Wynnum last night as support acts for the American glam rock band The Midnight Devils.  Although I didn’t get to see their set, they’re still a good band which has been around for several years.

I’ve also been doing some tweaks on my own website, and would love to encourage my followers on Open Diary to check it out at: Dario Western’s Website.
