Well now.

After a 5 month hiatus (man, time flies), is there anyone left to read this? I all but quit writing in my spare time, just papers for school and stuff like that.

Haven’t been up to too much really. School, work, and now being part of the Board of Directors where I live takes up most of my time. To make things quick, I’ve done things I’m quite proud of and other things I’m not. I’ve let people down and held others up. Broken some hearts and put others back together. Seen some good bands and some shitty ones (anyone else notice that ticket prices have skyrocketed in the last year or so, even for the shitty bands?). Said goodbye to friends and hello to new ones. Basically, I’ve just being living the best I can in this crazy world of ours. There’ve no huge revelations as far as which direction I ultimately want to go, and yet I haven’t really been as content as I am now. So, that’s weird.

I guess I haven’t really updated this thing for so long because I haven’t had much to say. I still don’t really. Sure, there have been things that have bothered me, like that homeless guy that’s always out on the corner of my street asking for money. I swear I saw him driving a car one day, all clean cut and dressed like he had at least some money. He wouldn’t admit that it was him when I asked, but he hasn’t asked me for dime since then. Bastard. Anyway, other than stuff like that that doesn’t really matter much, I’ve been pretty happy.

My sister is getting married in July. I’m the MC for her reception (cause I’m awesome) and still have nothing planned out other than a general outline. Anyone ever been one before? Any ideas would be awesome. She went to a psychic last week. Apparently the psychic was so good that she knew my sister was going to get engaged soon. Despite the fact that she’s been engaged since July. Or August. I don’t recall. I guess they also did a Tarot reading. I don’t know exactly how they work, but sister drew the devil card. The psychic wouldn’t tell my sister wouldn’t that meant. What the fuck is that? If I pay you money to do something/tell me something, you can’t get all "ohhh, that? That’s nothing. Look over there!" on me if it may be bad.

Her experience just made me feel better about not believing in things I don’t believe in. The supernatural exists only in ones head. And on TV. That shit is real, yo.

Speaking of supernatural, Christmas is coming up soon and we all know what that means…Presents! I’m not ashamed to admit that that is why I love christmas. I love giving & getting stuff. I am an consuming whore. The shiny, fun wrapping, the guessing and wondering, the shopping (except for the stupid people that pack the malls in this city) it’s all fun. I don’t celebrate the solstice and Jeebus didn’t die for my sins (I was made sinless, duh), so all that’s left are the present. Oh, and the family time. That’s good too.

Anyway that’s all for now. If money were no object, what would you all be asking for this Christmas?

tickets – I have noticed the fees for tickets have tripled but the cost of the tickets themselves have gone down. LiveNation had a deal this summer for a concert I wanted to see – it was something like 4 tickets for $40. The fee for each ticket (LiveNation’s fee, the facility fee, the f*ck you in the ass fee) was $9.50. And then $2.50 to print the tickets out instead of waiting for them in the mail. REALLY? Um, no. So I didn’t go. I hear you on the not-writing thing. I don’t have much to say, either. If money were no object, pay my mortgage, please. Thank you. 🙂
