Coffee Table Book Disabilities

Okay, so this evening, we were discussing marketing. (not with the aforementioned three amigos from the earlier chaos. This is a whole new chaos.)

It was decided that I should make videos. Not videos like the kind I have been making on my Modern Office Girl YouTube channel, but more like actual personal videos with me in them. Explaining the day to day life of building a brand new publishing company, behind the scenes, etc. That type of thing. Now, I am not comfortable being on camera. I used to be okay with it when I was young and cute, but not so much now. I am not excited about that.

So with discussion back and forth about what would a series even include, I suggested (jokingly) I could just call it “Really Me” and talk about how we are in a crunch to get a coffee table book out the door and it has been so long since I even had time to hold and flip through a coffee table book, I’ve forgotten what they are even supposed to look like. I originally had my own ideas of what would be “nice” but it was the wrong font, wrong title (too long) etc. And I said this evening, “And you should’ve seen my face when I was informed they have to have words in them! I was just envisioning like 200 pages of only images and thought, yeah we can knock that out pretty quick.”

So, Kevin laughed and said, “Yeah, you should’ve seen your face when I pointed out there has to actually be words in them!”

I said, “I know.” I thought it was funny too. But then, Kevin got sidetracked and forgot I’d brought this up because of the idea of including it in a potential video of behind the scenes (which btw I do NOT think is a good idea and will be done; I can’t for the life of me imagine anyone will be interested in it), and he starts explaining what a coffee table book is and how it is supposed to look. I had to remind him that we were not currently discussing my coffee table book disabilities as those have been addressed weeks ago, but whether or not to include that chaos in the bts video IF we do one, which I don’t think we should.

If I can find a way to do BTS publishing house videos without having to be on camera (or if I can get someone else to be on camera instead) then we may do it.

So, as you can clearly see, this is a late-working evening. I will probably be working until midnight. Which is kind of why I have to dip out periodically to write in here. It’s my way of keeping my sanity. Or sharing the chaos. Or having a little coffee break.

Imagine that.  Using writing as a means of maintaining one’s sanity.  I can’t even frown upon something like that and indeed, I applaud your efforts as you “dip out”.  If it matters, I rarely drink coffee.
