Freedom

Freedom is something people value above all other things. It doesn’t matter how or where you live, as long as you have freedom everything will be all right.

I agree that freedom is a nice concept and idea but frankly there isn’t really something as freedom. The person living in a average western world country has no freedom whatsoever, he is forced to go to school, learn, go to college or else be a failure the rest of his life. He doesn’t have the ability to choose it’s own name and needs to tell of all it’s activities to the government. The government also takes some of it’s money and makes him pay more for products they consider dangerous or products which affect our health. Heck, a person can’t even decide to end it’s own life, if he does and fails people think he is insane and lock him up…out of self protection they call it.

You could say we have freedom but the freedom we have is so regulated by rules that you can’t really call it freedom. People may think they are free but the freedom they think they have is nothing more then an illusion created by rules.

Some people might say they have freedom by not following the rules, ding things there own way and living the way they want. Perhaps those individuals have freedom, but at what price, their lives will be harsh, difficult and troublesome. Isn’t it better to live a good live in the illusion of freedom then a miserable life IN freeom?
