Disease Organisms on New Clothes

Be careful when buying new clothes, the diseases threatens.

An investigation by a New York University microbiologist, Philip Tierno indicates that some new clothes from stores that are displayed on retail shelves have potential possibility of contamination by organisms from bodily secretions cause diseases. Next, how to overcome them ?

The investigation conducted in collaboration with a television program to culture 14 articles clothing purchased from three different high- and low-end chain stores in New York City. Several articles of clothing tested positive for bacteria indicating contamination with feces or other bodily secretions.

Investigation has found representation of respiratory secretions, skin flora, and some fecal flora on a black and tan blouse, on the jacket armpits and buttocks area. Other blouse also found vaginal organisms and yeast in addition to fecal bacteria.

The number of organisms in these clothes due to the many people who have tried it and probably with a heavy contamination. Contamination likely occurred in the changing rooms then returned to the shelves as untried.

Philip Tierno recommends that consumers wash all new clothing in hot water or run it through a dryer cycle before wearing. This way will minimize your risk to exposed organisms cause disease that you do not know, even just a skin disease.

yes, we have known this for years and years, we wash ,, ,really good, all brand new clothing…. people try those clothes on and ewwwwwwwwwwww all kinds of people try them on and then you buy them thinking they are new/? GOOD ENTRY..thanks for sharing that. lots of people do not know about this
