Godzilla Minus One!!!
Godzilla Minus One. This is now my favorite movie. I love the story, the acting, graphics, everything! This movie was amazing. Right now that I am in the military, it truly motivated me to be ready for anything. I will be learning Japanese because I want to be able to watch it in its native language. Too good! Highly recommend! Would love to have a conversation with anyone who watches it!
My boyfriend and I went and saw this last week and I was in AWE! Such a great story and great graphics. It is easily the best Godzilla movie! Did you watch a dubbed version? I watched a subbed version and it was wonderful.
Which branch of the military are you? I was an Air Force wife for too long lol
P.S. Duolingo is free and a great way to learn new languages. Also watching subbed anime helps because you’re hearing the Japanese while reading the English translation.
@mrsdewees I also watched the subbed version. It was so awesome. I thought the actors were incredible, the storyline engaging, and Godzilla a God amongst earthlings. I was very inspired.
I am in the Army. Part of the 82nd. I tried to join the Air Force first. But when I called the recruiter the first question they asked was how much do I way. 200 at the time. The recruiter said call back when you are 185. I’m 5’10! That’s the weight of my bones and some water!
I’m really getting into One Piece. I’m 553 episodes in. I started watching the Japanese version to see if I can pick it up. I also have Rosetta Stone. I think it would be cool to do something like a comedy act in Japanese.
@mandeacero my ex was almost “too big” for the Air Force for weighing about what you do! He ended up just getting in under the wire. And he always failed his waist measurement on his PT tests forever until forever. Is 82nd infantry?
One Piece is crazy good too. Do you want any recommendations ? Not sure how new you are to anime
@mrsdewees 🙂 One Piece is excellent. The storyline is awesome and it keeps me laughing and crying. Oh my God, when Robin said she wanted to live, I almost flipped the couch. I first got into anime back in the 90’s with DragonBall Z and Inuyasha. I would loe recommendations as the world of anime is huge!
82nd is an Airborne Division. I’m in an Infantry unit but my job is a 25H which basically keeps the internet up in the fight. I love the Army, but I would love anything I am in. Just the way I am.
@mandeacero I got into anime in the 90s too. My son’s initials are actually DBZ haha. Do you have crunchy roll? Or just using Netflix/Amazon etc?
