Update

We have had a very mild winter. In fact, it is so mild that I saw this morning that the no-parking-on-the-street ban has been ended a few days early. It would normally go on until the 15th of March. Of course, since we only have one car now, it has caused us no problems. When we had two cars and when they are parked one behind the other, we used to have to figure out who was going to leave first and have that car at the back! In case you are wondering why we can’t park on the street during winter, it was so that the snow plows could clean the roads at night.

I had a horrible night last night. I ate something that, apparently, didn’t want to stay where it was sent so I spent a lot of the night throwing up and then dealing with diarrhea. {And in between these two things, I was reading my Kindle. I can get through anything if I can read…} However, I have a huge load of laundry to do as a result of those two things. Fortunately, as soon as I realized I was going to vomit, I got something to vomit into so that I didn’t do it all over the floor as I did the last time this happened… And, of course, *I* was the one that had to scrub it up! Anyway, I feel much better this morning. I just had a cup of tomato soup a few minutes ago and there is dry toast for later… However, I am pretty sure I am going to leave the nasty laundry until tomorrow!

One thing I really like about my Kindle Fire is that I can watch free a lot of the TV shows I like. Right now I am watching "Foyle" which I first saw on PBS. I am fascinated by it since it is set in England in WW2 which was the time I was a child there. It is historically accurate. A friend who is also watching it on her Fire asked me why the men carried what appeared to be shoulder bags. In fact, men, women and children carried them and inside were our gas masks… I remember we had drills at school where we had to get them on in a very short time… The eponymous main character was a policeman which is what my father was during that time.

Ok, time to go back to bed to see if I can make up a bit of the sleep I lost last night…

I hope you feel better soon!

Ugh…so sorry about your rough night. Just wondering if perhaps your refridgerator temperature needs to be adjusted if you keep getting sick after eating something? (It’s something I worry about with my parents. They always have leftovers that they reheat throughout the week, or condiments that sit opened and unused for months at a time. Because they are continually in and out of therefridgerator, I worry about spoilage.) PS: When does Fred come home? Soon, isn’t it?

I’ve only seen one episode of Foyle – when I visited my grandad. He also commented on how accurate it is.

I’m sorry you had a rough night too! I’ve been in that predicament a few times. They really ought to make disposable clothes for people to use in situations like those! ;o) !! I hope you got a chance to catch up on your rest today at some point!! hugs, Nicky

Hope you’re feeling better by now. To bad the “clever machines” won’t come and get the laundry themselves. I’m off to do my own delayed wash now.

I love Foyle’s War. That’s a great series. I also love the Midsommer Mysteries.

Poor Patrisha – I hope you feel better quickly!

Hope you’re feeling better. I thought I would get the Kindle Fire but decided against it. I really only want it to read.
