Blogathon # 11: My feet hurt…

Time Posted: 2:01pm EST

Right now this blogathon is getting to me early and we’re only five hours in. But the pains I’m feeling right now have nothing to do with what I’m doing. For the past two months, I feel like I’ve been falling apart, with one medical problem after another coming my way. It’s been rough, but the only thing I can do right now is take it and keep plugging away. For those who are unfamiliar with my plight here is a rundown of what I’ve been suffering from lately:

Iritis: This lovely inflmation hit me again in early May, causing me to lose partial site and miss the first three weeks of my softball season. I’m still on medication for that right now and that has been a royal pain.

Hypertension: This one started just last month, when I went in for something else. Emerg said my heart rate was through the roof and a week later it was still through the roof when I saw my family doctor. Since my family has a huge heart history, I was put on meds for it.

Brain Aneurism: I went into emerg last month with a throbing pain in the back of my head, and shot term memory issues. I had a CAT scan that day but nothing was found (but a brain). They at first told me it might be a bleed, but my family doc says that if anything it’s likely to be an aneurism. Thanks, and now I’m waiting to see a Neurologist for a tiebreaker. You’ve got to love how they call it a ‘possible’ brain aneurism, like they’re trying to be accurate yet cover their ass at the same time. Thanks guys…

Out of fear of this being true, I left my job and the softball team to reduce stress. The doc says it worked cause my stress levels are getting better but I’ve been having problems lately with the drugs. My feet have swollen and I’ve been icing them down a lot. I’ve also been dealing with a lot of lower and middle back pain as well since going on the drugs for hypertension.

For the reasons listed above, I was asked not to write today. I can understand that, but what else would I have done today. I would have played World Of Warcraft, watched TV, stuff just as useless. Today I’m happy to be here making a difference, and whatever aches I get because of it I’ll just have to endure. It’s worth the effort…

Five hours? *counts fingers and stares* No way! It seems like an hour, hour-and-a-half, tops, for me.

Oh my gosh! And you’re keeping on … kudos to you!

Would exercise help, or make it worse?
