Starting a new decade with new poetry…
Even though I make next to nothing with these publications, I love being a poet. I’ve written a dozen poetry books, and just the satisfaction of creating them is all it takes to make me happy. Any sales I make is just gravy, aka the added bonus. I always like to post a new poetry book on or just after my birthday to get the next year of my life rocking on the first step. This year I’ve self published one that I am quite proud of. Allow me to explain.
11 years ago, I self-published my first book of French poetry. It was a small book with a little over 20 poems. Many of them were translated poems from previous books I had previously self pubbed, with a few originals tossed in for fun. This book was just a tester, but I got a lot of positive feedback which encouraged me to write another some day.
Well, that time has come.

Earlier today I self published my second book of French poetry titled “L’Éternité en Fragments” which means Eternity in Fragments.
I’m quite proud of this new poetry book, which has 40 poems this time out. While a lot of these are translations of poems from my other poetry books I’ve self published since that first French book, there are a few from poetry books yet to be released. There are also a few originals that will never appear in any other language. I’ve enjoy creating these books in French because I’d like all citizens of my nation (Canada) to be able to enjoy reading my poetry no matter which official language they prefer to use.
So, if you’d like to purchase this new poetry book, it is available on Amazon for a very reasonable price. If you happen to use Kindle Unlimited, the book is available to read for free. Here is a link to access the new book:
So, how’s that for starting off my new year… no, my new decade off?
Cool part is I’m just getting started. I’ve got two novels that are almost finished too. I plan to self publish one of them before Xmas. While the other novel when it’s done will be put through the entire process of querying for agents and formal publication. I’m willing to subject myself to this because one of the novels I’m working on is just that fucking good. So, for that novel I’m willing to try again. If it fails, I’ll just self pub and move on.
So, that’s what I got planned for the next few months when I’m not taking care of the kids and other things in life.
Just thought I’d share this new book because I’m so damn proud of it.
Everyone have a great weekend, and Go Blue Jays!
