Lessons and Messages
Sometimes it only takes a few minutes in the prayer room or a word from a random speaker to gain a little clarity. I got most of my messages during my time in the prayer room. Others came during an hour I spent listening to a speaker.
While I was in prayer, I was led to think about Moses and his conversation with the Almighty at the burning bush. I thought about how Moses lacked confidence and came up with all kinds of excuses as to why he wasn’t fit for the mission the Almighty gave him, lol. He questioned the Father’s choices instead of realizing he’d equip him with everything he needed.
The Father replied, “I’ll be with you.”
Moses was still unsure and thought no one would believe him.
The Father replied, “I’ll give you some neat tricks to show ’em”. Paraphrasing, of course.
Moses was still unsure and said he wasn’t a good enough speaker.
The Father replied, “I’ll be your mouth.”
You get the picture. It’s like that sometimes. We forget that we’re not actually alone and that we will always be given all the necessary tools to do whatever we’re being asked to do.
I’m not implying that I’m a female Moses. I’m just saying sometimes doubt rears its ugly head, and we have to be reminded that the Almighty will make sure we’re prepared.
The story about the three young men in the book of Daniel also crossed my mind last night. I thought about Nebuchadnezzar and how he did everything in his power to force the men to bow to him. He was so used to everyone else bowing that he didn’t know how to handle those who wouldn’t. How dare they choose to bow to someone else? How dare they not do what he say? He said, “I’ll fix ’em. I’ll tie them up and put them in the fire.”
Life is like that sometimes, too. Lots of Nebuchadnezzars exist in the world, and they throw people in fires when they don’t get their way. Some of them are fortunate enough to get humbled by God after a while. Others never quite understand that they aren’t God and aren’t really that fortunate either.
The past few weeks have been full of learning experiences and messages. One lesson I learned is that I am going to be on the front lines of a battlefield no matter where I go. It’s a position I’ve chosen and have been chosen for, and the battles are part of the package.
There is obviously no place on Earth I can go to completely keep away individuals from the opposing side. Hell, I can’t even keep them out of my apartment if they’re that determined to encroach, and others are willing to let them in, give them access, or turn a blind eye.
All I can do is keep going despite the noise, illusions, threats, etc. and wait for the stormy season to pass.
My conclusion is that if every environment on this entire Earth is going to be identical to the rest in spirit, then I should choose where I’d be happiest to “keep going”. I should choose any state, any employer, any app, any facility, any time, any one, any day, etc. that I feel is best for me. It doesn’t make a difference because I’m going to be placed into a fire anyway, right?
Well, I have already made all the above-mentioned choices.
I chose the state six years ago and have been here ever since.
I chose no one as a partner since no one seemed to be able to refrain from mishandling me.
I had chosen the employer many years ago, but Covid, curiosity, and then unwanted chaos got in the way.
Gig “apps” entered my life after my long-term writing was wrongfully stripped away from me, forcing me to find something else to supplement my income and buffer unforeseen losses.
Nowadays, they’re mostly non-beneficial, so I work with whatever I find the least repulsive in spirit. It’s all I can do while I’m being universally blown and blocked off from making a living. It ain’t fun or fruitful, but it’s what I’ve been left with.
End of text.
The other thing about Moses is that he was 80 years old when G-d called to him. He had an entirely new life out there, a wife, kids, and was probably thinking about retirement.
@ravdiablo I don’t think they had “retirement” during those times. You basically worked until you died (a k.a. got called home).
Also, Moses’s people had the ability to stay strong and vibrant and fit for work way beyond the age of 80. ;-). So what’s your point?
