Prayers are needed much, for Alex fears that his job may be in jeapordy over this restructuring and downsizing at the Council where he works. Alex has been with the same Council in the same position as Data Capture Officer (He digitises physical maps on specialized scanners for the Planning Department) for 8 years prior to coming to the States to marry me; He resumed the position in 2006–a year after we had relocated from the States and moved permantly to the UK and has been working there again over three years. He’s a good worker!  There is a managerial meeting this afternoon and it can affect some members of his department.  The Council has been talking about this restructuring and downsizing for over a year now.  We are praying that it doesn’t affect us for if Alex was made redunant it can affect us both on a deep financial basis.
We’re both trying to be as positive as we can be. But we need prayers.

We are planning to go into a buying parked home (Trailer) later this year or early next year.  Although I am not 100% convinced about the idea of a parked home; it will mean that even though the kitchen will be smaller and compact it will be our own place instead of rented accomodations. Alex is keeping an open mind about it but it is an avenue he feels is worth looking into.  I’m going to miss this apartment. It is our first place and although there is a lack of storage fascilities the kitchen is just the right size.  The parked home (Trailer) does give you an option of having a small garden, something I’ve never had before. Plus because it is our own place we will affectively be on the first rungs of the property ladder when we decide to sell it years later.

I just hate the uncertainty of things. It gives you chills and makes your heart rattle like an over-excited rattlesnake.   I’m hoping beyond all hope that Alex retains his job.  All I ever want is for us to be alright and to prosper. All I ask is for us to have a rosy future and be happy.  It’s our Sixth Wedding Anniversary on 1st July this year!  Please, God, send us a miracle!
