Then and Now (picures may trigger)

It’s been almost 4 years since I went in patient for anorexia. I decided I would take pictures in the same outfit and do the same poses as I did 4 years ago and put them side by side.

For the first time EVER I am able to see how skinny I was then. I weigh 33 lbs more now than I did when the pictures were taken in 2005. I have come so far in those 4 years and what is even more amazing, I have never relapsed. Never.  My accomplishments in the gym lifting weights far exceed the "accomplishment" of starving myself.

Recovery is possible.

Fantastic! No matter what others say, until you see it yourself, you can’t change/recover. You have done awesome things with yourself, and will no doubt continue to be amazing.

I just dropped by from the boards. You’re beautiful, you know that, right? Your whole demeanour now looks so much better than the before pictures. Your shape, your skin, even your smile looks more ‘genuine’. And that dress hangs really nice on you now you have hips. You’ve come such a long way in 4 years. You must be so proud.

You look absolutely amazing now. I’m glad you’ve been able to recover. It’s a hard illness to get over. *hugs*

you look gorgeous now! for the record you still look very thin and slim and fit, just with a little bit more meat on you and beautiful feminine curves. it’s nice that someone who once suffered from anorexia can see that BOTH extremes can be unnattractive….fat, or thin like a skeleton. you look like a movie starlet now. your skin looks healthier too and your face looks healthier and so …

…pretty…but most importantly, is how hard you worked …that is something to be admired.,…and your health of course. well done.

congratulations on all of your hard work!! I love seeing results in the gym 🙂 like every one else is agreeing on You do look beautiful. You look so healthy, and more of a Woman. please take no offence to your old pictures…but you don’t look like a woman. you look about 12. You shine with Radiance now. good luck on your difficult journey.
