Rise Against The Plague

Eyes are blurred and blinded
With tears and rage
At the apathy of it
Watching crowds die
And the audacity of demanding their silence
"You are unpleasant. Will you not have the decency to die quietly?"
Perhaps they might say
So sorry to inconvenience you
I will try not to interrupt your golf game…
Return your eyes to the sky
With your feet planted firmly
Not all die in vain…
Some are heroes
Words breathe life in any form

Raise a fist against oppression
Tighten your grip on the neck of injustice
Prepare yourself
Steel your nerves, your resolve
This is a war you may not see the end of
To raise an army you must first be willing to stand alone

And then . . . there will be another plague to take its place. For humanity itself is a plague.
