If you want me, I’ll be dancing.

A tired and hurting G with a smiling Georgette in what remains of a 1957 Chevy…just like the one that was Georgette’s first car.

We’ve run our errands, even boosted our silverware count…as if we need more silverware, and we have all the packages wrapped but those for G’s mechanics. I tell you, we are ahead of the game here.

Even the laundry is done. Did I say that?

Last night was a moderate success. Ross’s neck scarf was too long as evidenced by his folding it in half then doing it again. Bee was scared to death to ride with us out looking at lights, but she did it. Seventeen accidents in thirty some years of driving, even if you didn’t cause them, is nuts. She only panicked twice. Dinner and friendship was a huge success.

Tonight’s guest was to be Maria, the young lady who’s HIV has just blossomed into full blown AIDS. Her brother has just been hospitalized with the same disease, and she will be with her brother instead of us. We get our dashing son-in-law….we really like this admittedly alcoholic son-in-law, and he will add to the amusement of the evening. Then he will go home. He’s not much for traveling circuses. G loves them. We will take tonight’s chautauqua on the road to Istambul around six, I think, after a good wallow in meat loaf, garlic mashed potatoes, and whipped cream on the last pumpkin pie in the store.

Until then, if you want me, I will be dancing between email, bath, email, cooking, email, and the family as they unwrap goodies that wait now for them under the tree. Batteries are even included as dear G opened everything and added those pesky double AA and triple AAA’s. Ya gotta like a grampa like that.

Next week I will be dancing between customers and the new computer program as I am covering for Lenora who is covering for Richard who is actually taking a vacation. That’s an unheard of dance. I will pop in here when I can between work, Queen Mary, and work. Ana one, ana two…..

silverware is like socks to me, always seems to disappear… i end up short and with mismatched pieces. i need more, a good matching set would be nice.

You look so happy! Hope you both get some time to relax and enjoy the holiday. xoxo

I’m exhausted reading your activity account. You and G are good people, Georgette. Well, I know you don’t always think you’re so good, but you do good things. Great photo!

Oh my! I learned to drive on a ’57 Chevy just like that. Husband and I had one later (about ’61) and, at no time, EVER, could I get either one in second gear. Happy Holidays to you and G

My first car was a ’63 VW Bug. My fave, though, was my ’69 Pontiac GTO. Loved that car. Have a great holiday. 🙂
