7:51a.m. I had more weird dreams last night. I remember one dream where I was in a battle. We were on this ridge on top of a mountain. We were supposed to capture and occupy this ridge. At first we didn’t see any enemy forces. But we’re soon attacked on all sides. A great battle began. Despite being heavily outnumbered we fought off every assault infecting heavy casualties on the enemy.
I was awakened from this battle by an aide. She changed my briefs. In fact I received good care last night. Aides came in twice to change me. Then they came in around 5:30 to change my briefs, clean me up get me dressed and into my wheelchair. I can’t bitch about lack of care.
I was still pretty tired and ached all over from arthritis pain. I slept in my wheelchair until they served breakfast. Breakfast was delicious. I had two slices of ham and pancakes. Coffee was late but it was still nice and hot. Breakfast and coffee seemed to help with the arthritis. I’m above the dirt.
I talked briefly to Chocolatechip. She is in good spirits. Chocolatechip plans on doing a little baking. This is in addition to regular housework. Today she plans on making cookie dough for cherry delights Then she just plans on chilling. I said that’s a good idea. We talked then she had to get back to work.
I’m surprised I’m having a great morning. The only thing that is bothering me is the Hoyer pad. It is hurting already. Other than that things are going good.
9:20a.m. I’m in the Fiesta Room waiting for coffee . Theo place is empty except for me and the two other people.
This is a nice picture of my table. It didn’t come out right. I can’t do too many things right without more coffee.
Here is a better picture
11:14a.m. I’m back in my room. I had a good time at the Coffee Social. I read Wolves of the Calla by Stephen King. I read for over an hour and got lost in the story. So I was having a good day until I had a BM. I quickly made my way back to my room. I was lucky enough to get cleaned up and changed before lunch. But I feel so embarrassed and humiliated for doing that in public.
1:47p.m. I had a delicious lunch. They served sw myeet and sour meatballs with rice, broccoli,a dinner roll and a cup of pears. I ate it all and didn’t get sick. I returned to my book Wolves of the Calla by Stephen King. I did a lot of reading after I ate. I read for an hour. I want to read more. Hell, I want to read forever.
I’m having a great day. Care today is good. I’m in minimal pain. I had two good meals. I’m enjoying a wonderful book. Life is good
This is an old selfie
5:54p.m. I wasn’t too hungry so I didn’t eat supper. They served macaroni and cheese which is not my favorite anyway. uice and two sugar cookies. That was enough. I ate a big breakfast and lunch. So they can’t say I am not eating at all.
I talked with Chocolatechip. She had a very busy day. She spent the afternoon baking cherry delight cookies. Chocolatechip said she will bring me up a plate of cookies on Dec 11 plus a $25 Amazon gift card. I can’t wait to see her.
I read a total of two hours today. Wolves of the Calla has a tie in with Salem’s Lot, one of King’s earliest works. The priest in Salem’s Lot, Donald Callahan, is a major character in Wolves of the Calla. He was telling his story about how he ended up in the Calla. A lot of Stephen King’s books seem to be connected to the Dark Tower novels.
I wanted to read more but fell asleep .As much as i love reading sometimes I just need a break from it. I can always read some to
