Ok, to give you some idea of size, here is me and Poindexter, the poinsettia! {Yes, we name our plants– doesn’t everyone?}

This next photograph is a closeup of a stem that broke off. We have it in water right now…

And, finally, the whole plant again. It isn’t really pink. I think the flash made it look a bit washed out.

That is one huge Poindexter! I love the name.

Lovely! You look great too!! I always name my plants as well.. how else can you coax them and talk to them?

My brother had a cactus that he named… There’s a story to it but I can’t remember it… lol

Pointsettias are such cheery plants! I love the colours, especially the reds, and some of the pinks that I’ve seen. But alas, we have kitties, so no plants upstairs — I can keep my orchids sequestered downstairs where the cats can’t get to them, but up here — if there is a closed door, they just howl and paw at the door until we let them in.
