Crossing the finish line…

Ladies and gentlemen, the time for celebration has arrived.

At 7:45pm tonight, I verified my 50,000 words for November 2009. Time to celebrate!

This year was actually one of my toughest Nanos to complete. I had a job that worked me like a dog, kids to take care of and other various things that made time for writing very, very hard to find.

Forget the fact that I was doing a daring project that was so tough, that when I did find time to write, it was a slow process that was hell to sluge through. Attacking a genre I never wrote before was difficult, but I’m actually proud of the product that I’ve written thus far.

To those who have cross the finish line with me… congrats on making something in time and see you next year. To those who didn’t make it, I will be here again to root you on and maybe next time it will work out.

And just another video to express how I feel…

So ends NaNoWriMo 2009, my fourth straight successful Nano. I am going to sleep early tonight. No more looking at a monitor for the rest of the night!

Nicely done! I struggled enough with my degree assignments, so how anybody could squeeze in 50,000 words into a month is beyond me.

RYN: Oh, I’ll most definitely be back next year. This was year 5 for me, but only the second time I’ve completed the 50,000 and the last time I did, I realized I hated my main character around word 51,000 and scrapped the whole project. It’s sitting somewhere collecting dust. I am hoping to get published, but that’s before the editing process, my buddy works at a writing center and gave me all sorts of advice so here’s hoping it works out.

Congrats on finishing! It was a really busy month for me as well. I can’t quite figure out why they don’t do NaNo in like January.
