Well ain’t this some Bull (mom rant)

My mom has low platelets issues which is accompanied with rashes when they were too low and the last few times she’s been to the doctor her platelets been normal but she still has the rashes like she had when she had the issues. So she said something else is going on and I said well you got to go to the dermatologist or get an allergy test neither of which she did I guess probably because she didn’t have insurance. Anyways Friday she talked to a nephew who she hasn’t seen in years and his wife that she talked to for the first time and turns out his wife Jen had some kind of fungus skin issue and she says that’s what my mama has so my mom is taking that and running with it she tell my mom all the stuff that she can’t eat like she can’t do dairy anymore because she allergic to it, which hello if you get allergy test you would have known also that my mom need to go organic, cage free, and grass-fed. So my mom took notes and made list of what Jen said she needs to get, and guess who has to go get them all from the health food store because I work close to one. My mom decided to do this as soon as possible she’s dropping everything that’s not what Jen said she should be eating and I’m like WTF because she was like: Jen said I got get this, Jen said I should get this, Jen said I should do this and I got so annoyed I was like what is Jen? what does she do? and my mom says she’s a flight attendant and I’m like well she ain’t no specialist or expert and she said well she got the same problem and her doctor directed her what she has to do. First of all Jen does not have a low platelet problem that was proven by specialist to say those rashes were from that in the first place so she doesn’t have the exact same thing because not everybody is the same and had a rash issue because of another condition. Thanks to Jen I was in CVS with my mom today for half an hour with her trying find out which Monistat cream to use on her rashes, which Monistat cream with applicator and for your vagina. Then she going to ask me which one to get and I was like I don’t know didn’t Jen tell you which one to uses and she was like no she’s going to have to call Jen when she got home. Anyways Jen told her the knock off one doesn’t have the applicator but CVS one does, so I was like she tell you where she get hers at and of course she didn’t. Then I was like so you tell me I have to go to Walgreens, Target, and Walmart to find out which knockoff does not have applicators and she was like if you could. I’m all for her trying out what can help her but I’m highly annoyed with Jen and I know my mom knows it.

stupid question? Why doesn’t your mom get a referral to a skin doctor then to an allergist to see if it’s an allergy to either food or the environment and then talk to a dietitian? And just because this Jen does this or that doesn’t mean it will work for you mom…I would think it would be a lot of trial and error.

@jaythesmartone exactly she don’t listen to me, but here comes a practical stranger telling her stuff and she eats it all up.
