OD Booster Club March Winners
Okay, a few days late with this, but better late than never. It actually was pretty easy picking the winners for March – because what they did was so cool (yes, I said winners because there are four).
Four of our Australian members participated last month in the Melbourne City Romp as an Open Diary Team. They even had special t-shirts made with the Booster Club logo, and answered questions from people throughout the day regarding OD and what it is all about. The four members of the Melbourne Team OD were:

You should do some type of comparison between numbers of new diary’s started… comparing this years to last or the past 5 years.. see if what the booster club is doing is making a noticeable difference 🙂

I can only assume, from your lack of a reply to my notes, that you agree that I cannot write with full disclosure on my diary. Thank you for taking the time to clarify, I will not be a paying member once my membership expires. This is a shame to me. I have always had your back. I have always thought that people overreacted to the rules, but in this instance I think you are overstepping and abusingyour own power here. I’m curious though, how is a friends only entry abusive or attack worthy if the person does not have access and should not be reading that entry? On top of that, as frustrated as we get, and as much as we need to vent, how many people, other than adolescents would actually take that information from the friends only entry and go and attack said person for their friend? Not many. And at that point and only that point would it be an abuse of the rules, at that point the person would actually be getting verbally abused or attacked. They would not however be getting any sort of attack if they didn’t know what was being said about them. I’m just amazed that the rules can be twisted and applied this way.

ryn: I’m fine with you looking at my FO entries, that never bothered me in the first place. My problem is is that it’s very easy to vent on here, if I’m having a bad day and my best friend pissed me off, I’d like to talk about it here. My problem though is, what if she joins OD, someone figures out who she is, then I get **** on because I wrote an entry about her? It’s like we can’t talk about anything. If you don’t single others out, then I have to ask, why was TL’s stalker never reprimanded when she made complaints about him?

Dear DM. Us oldies going back to 98-99 have lost wonderful lady. She was in the early days know as Quill but recently as Mrs Peach Cobblers. She passed away unexpectantly three days ago and is being buried today. Monday. Please could you put a tribute to her in the OD News. She was a valuable contributor to OD and a great encourager. Thanks for ignoring every single note I’ve ever left you. I promise that I won’t be renewing my subscription once it expires and I absolutely refuse to upgrade any more of my favs diaries. I’ve lost count of how many gift subscriptions I’ve given in the past but I refuse to do it going forward. I’ve been on OD for 5 years or so.. I’ve gone back and forth between being a regular OD member and an OD Plus member.. Please take away the ads that COVER someone’s entry, making it impossible to close it, or get rid of it at all. It’s not making me want to upgrade to OD Plus, it’s making me want to leave OD.

I just paid yesterday, via paypal for 6 months of OD+. It is pending in my bank acct, and its on my paypal history, yet when I log on I still get a message sayin my subscription is about to expire. I just want to be sure it went through, usually the message goes away and I get a new renewal date the moment I pay.

haha I second Kimberley… I’m also having this weird thing happen where my background turns to white for some reason? It’s a page loading issue, the background is still set to the right colour and all when I go to “diary style,” but for some reason my diary loads adn then the background and links go to white. very strange.

it appears as if my od is vanishing, bit by bit. some noters names are missing. some diary names are missing. some dates are missing. and i noticed that my own name was missing on someone’s notes. what is eating my od?

I hate the Friendly’s ads. I don’t mind having the ads and click them if they seem interesting, but they shouldn’t interfere with my interaction with the site. I can’t click on the toolbar if it rolls down. Please get rid of this ad and all ads like it.

Sunday, the 16th of may: Say Mr DM, OD is getting to be say doggone slow, it’s a pain in the a– to use. To go from one diary to another by clicking on BOOKMARKS to bring up the list of diariests and clicking on a slected OD entails an irratating wait each time.

Hi there! I wanted to report: 1. Yesterday and today, May 16 and 17, when I’ve tried to edit entries, about 50% of the time it’s failed and I’ve gotten “the site is under maintenance or has a programming error” screens, and yesterday, each time this happened with a really LONG entry I was revising, the entry wasn’t then just non-updated, it was truncated halfway through. (Thank you Wordpad!)

2. I allow anonymous notes – and I just got what appears to be some kind of AUTOMATED PORNSPAM anonymous note! Just spammed porny gibberish. I’ve never seen such a thing in here. You can find it under my 5/11/2010 entry “Princess of Mars.” (Not a complaint quite, I’m amused, but thought I should report the phenomenon…) Otherwise I have to also say I really love the site. :o)
