Crimes of the Hot
There is a resident sitting next to my desk and she had me put the heat on up to 80. She’s just saying over and over how cold she is and I am just sweating my buns off. Oh good. Shes leaving. & Gigi just brought me a pop! What a day!
I’ve been busy with work this morning. Typical Monday crap. A lady came in to apply for a dietary aid, and it’s like this weird period where Brandon doesn’t feel comfortable doing the interview cause he’s leaving, but I don’t feel comfortable because I don’t have the access to get them set up yet. So Peggy is giving her a tour and I will chat with her a bit because Brandon left early today. I am not really sure what the exact hours we have open for which position.
I enjoyed my weekend off. Everything was done and the house was clean. So we made chili and doofed around. I drank some whiskey. On Sunday we looked into Disney +, signed up for a free trial. We watched A Goofy Movie, Inside Out and a bunch of toy story & mickey mouse shorts. I don’t think I can justify another 7 dollars a month on another streaming service. We already have Netflix & Hulu. Oh and CBS which I forgot to cancel after I got caught up on some show. If Kat were still little and we still watched a lot of Disney I think I would.
Kat finished putting the stuff on the tree, and it’s not how I would like it but I said I wouldn’t say anything so I didn’t. I also put some red and white lights up around one of my bedroom windows. It feels nice.
Still no phone. My new case and screen protector arrived though. Made for a pretty quiet weekend. I did run to Target with my mom and pick up the china from Grandma. She said she hasn’t used it in about 35 years so I should probably wash it. (Well duh!) It didn’t appear to be dusty or anything though.
The gentleman that likes to yell at me about his casino slot games is back. Now he’s mad because it doesn’t work … the thing is he is out of the virtual money. He’s pissed at ME because his free online game doesn’t have money … not much I can do about that. Now he wants to buy some “coins” but he doesn’t have a credit card. Oh me oh my.
My grandma keeps her house at like 78 degrees and it’s awful. I feel your pain.
Streaming services are annoying me. The whole benefit of them was to save money. But now they’re just making more and more.

And I’m curious why you didn’t offer to use your own money to get him virtual casino money? Seems pretty selfish to me. I’m kidding.
@heffay I thought about it, but he’s an ass. I wouldn’t have thought twice if it was almost anyone else.
I like the streaming services because I don’t have regular cable. I mean I have a few channels because the internet/cable bundle was cheaper than just internet. But I don’t even have my box plugged in. Never use it.

Feeling cold all the time happens as one gets older. Maybe someone could help her dress in layers?
@solovoice She does wear layers, in fact she always has long underwear, 2 sweatshirts and her winter coat on even in the summer. Her issues are the result of refusing to be changed and not moving around enough to help her circulation.

Did you turn down the heat once she left? I would have then I would have blamed it on the head honcho person and said my hands are tied.
@jaythesmartone Well, I always try to put the residents needs above my own, so if they ask for heat they can have it, but yes I did turn it off once she left.
