Musical tastes…
I have Edwyn Collins “A Girl Like You” in my head… I can’t post videos yet but, I was wondering… what are your musical tastes? I like everything from the Sex Pistols to Shania Twain… my sister Bees is slowly getting me into country but I like things loud and rated R! Like the Buzzcocks, the Ramones, stuff like that. I also like Canadian music like the Tragically Hip, Gordon Lightfoot, Sarah McLachlan. Etc etc…
What music do you listen to?
I’m drinking a chai latte. 👍 Very tasty.. I gave my Acer to Julz cos I got the Vaio back from Pinky. She’s gonna buy her own computer.

Sarah MacLachlan is one of our favorites. I like to think of myself as truly eclectic, enjoying classical, a tiny bit of country, lots of rock both old and newer, pop, T&B, hip hop and especially the blues. I’ve dabbled in opera [we buy tickets to one opera every year] but I’m not a big fan. I like show tunes, torch songs, music both popular and from days long ago. I’m not a big punk fan, although I like some of it. We’ve seen all kinds of concerts and I’ve probably gone to hundreds in my lifetime. Music is a big part of my life. As I write this I’m listening to the composer who we saw at the premiere of his newest work on Saturday. His name is John Wineglass and his music is soothing and pretty and perfect for the background as I’m writing and working.

I love so many different types of music, but my favorite are: classical music for relaxation and studying (and sometimes for workouts or driving around), rap and hip hop or EDM when I’m in a party mood, classic rock (The Beatles, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, etc) for nostalgia (I grew up listening to the best stuff, thanks to my parents), indie rock or trip hop for mood, etc. I really like “different” music, or what doesn’t play on the radio. I’ve even had a phase where punk rock (yay for Ramones) or hardcore metal was all I listened to, and I used to love going to those shows. When I was young, my sister and I were obsessed with Guns n’ Roses, and our room was packed with their posters. I can be a chameleon lol.
The Cure, Deftones, Team Sleep, Smashing Pumpkins, and Portishead are some of my favorite bands, and more currently, I really love Billie Eilish’s stuff.

I like most everything except for thrasher rock or old country. I really love 80’s, 90’s, classic rock mostly. I will listen to some top 40. I even enjoy some opera and bluegrass from time to time.
@strawberryjelly Old country like Patsy Cline is alright…. I went through a phase where I really liked LeAnn Rimes but after the Eddie Cibrian thing? Meh.
