The weird thing is I’ve hadmy diary for 7 years & ivalways used IE. Since it still wasn’t working this morking I installed Firefox because someone in here recommended it. I haven’t tried it out yet but I’m hoping it works because I hate Google Chrome. Than you for your help.
I’m a little confused where to leave a note. You said, “Let me know if you need anything.” So I’m leaving a note here. I’m concerned about searches done in here. In other systems I can search for, “STTNG” and have it appear in someone’s writing. Here it must be a keyword that is voted on ? Doesn’t that limit searches and cripple accessibility ? I’m torn between this site and Writer’s Cafe.
A friend sent me to you. Suddenly my Entry Template won’t show the toolbar and won’t let me type on it, hence I cannot write an entry. Diary Maintenance and Entry Editor haven’t helped. Any idea what’s happened? I openly admit to being computer dummy.
I am having problems with my OD (+). I am unable to write on my “Write in my diary” page. I can enter a title. I can leave a note. I cannot write in the text box. ??????
I am not sure if this is an issue that everyone is experiencing but everytime I attempt to save an entry I receive an error that the system is down and to contact the “help desk” my husband says that it has something to do with the servers on opendiary’s end. It has been over 24 hrs that this has been happening. When it does allow me to post an entry it will only post half of what I past in the box and cuts over half of the entry off. 🙁 Any idea what the cause of this may be?
RYN: It will allow you to type and entry but when I go to copy and paste an entry (I write in another window and paste the entry so I do not lose my entry if a situation like this were to happen) and then a system error pops up…. tells me to attempt again and if it happens again to let the help desk know…. then when I refresh it doesn’t show the new entry in my diary content BUT it will show it listed if I flip to the next entry… but only half of the entry I pasted is there? 🙁 I have been trying to write since my last entry posted….. Whats the deal here.
This is the error that pops up with I post an entry– “There was an error on this page. Please try again and if you continue to have this problem, please contact us via the ‘help menu’.” So, when I repost half the entry reposts and then the entry actually looks like it’s half margined on the screen & it only posts half the entry I pasted…. maybe you can copy and paste and old entry of one of yours or mine & see if it does the same thing? I have never had this issue before so I am confused what is going on… I haven’t changed anything in my settings or system used.
Ryn- I am still receiving an error. I am not sure what the deal is? I am within the character limit when I am pasting so that can’t be it? Has this ever happened before?

Hello… I wrote an entry and when I clicked save, I got a white screen with an error message that reads: There was an error on this page. Please try again and if you continue to have this problem, please contact us via the ‘help menu’. I have a MacBook Pro, and I tried rebooting and I made sure the software was updated. I tried on Safari and on Mozilla Firefox (both latest versions) and got the same message on both browsers. I tried posting the entry with pictures and without. Please help! I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to put photos in an entry using my iPad and it won’t work. Is it even possible? I’m able to upload a photo from my ipad into my photos in OD, but it won’t put the image into an entry. Help??

There is a diary called Rebel Soul. For some reason, she has been rather abusive towards me – she called my diary a “troll diary”, and it inspired me to write an entry explaining why I am not a troll diary (whatever that is)and that my thoughts are own. She proceeded to write an entry specifically as an attack on me. She screen-capped some notes I left her and called me a “funny ****er”.

Hi, I am having an issue writing an entry on my diary all of a sudden. There is a little arrow just below the title field that when hovered over says collapse toolbar that has appeared and there is no toolbar and when I click in the entry field, nothing happens, the cursor doesn’t cue up, nothing. I’ve tried turning off the editor and still the same thing happens. Have any clue to fix this? Thank you 🙂

Hello, I’m not sure what is happening with my OD… but suddenly there are hyperlinks appearing in my entries with advertisements attached to them. Very strange, and something I have never seen before! If someone could take a look into this I would really appreciate it.

Since a lot of people are migrating to a new diary site I thought I’d let you know just in case you want to start a second diary or a back up diary to OD. I started a diary there as a back up but I admit that I’m tired of hearing about OD’s demise. It’s been going on for so long & no one seems to care that you have been helping us all along. Again, that was lots of fun to watch, and I find I have a smile on my face. Blog: Entries not showing again, and when I go to post I get “There was an error on this page. Please try again and if you continue to have this problem, please contact us via the ‘help menu’.” When I go to my Contents, I found it posted. Dancing….I could do that in the 1960’s, and maybe after my newhip I can do it again. LOL

Hi there, For some reason I am not able to even get my cursor into the space to write in my diary, I cant even see the tool bar. I am able to write an entry on the mobile version on my phone, but that is all. Any suggestions. Thanks, Loxy

Can we either move the ads that cover up the sign in box, or move the sign in box so we can sign in? Sometimes I have to refresh several times to get rid of the rather large ad that is covering up the sign in box. Thanks
